Sarah Cahill performs "She Dances Naked Under Palm Trees"

Old First Church Concerts
1751 Sacramento Street
San Francisco, CA 94109

Sarah Cahill and Regina Myers perform a concert of music mainly on the theme of social justice, as motivation and inspiration, including works by Elinor Armer, Ruby Fulton, Frederic Rzewski, Pauline Oliveros, and others, as well as a premiere by Sharmi Basu. The concert will include a performance of my piece, “She Dances Naked Under Palm Trees”, commissioned by and written for Sarah as a part of “The Future Is Female” project. The piece is inspired by a poem by William Waring Cuney, as sung by Nina Simone in her song, “Images”.
