Face is a video performance piece born out of the absurd, humorous and grotesque act of face making. Composed from thousands of still images of the face, the piece offers a contemplation on the elusive and fluid nature of one's internal and external identities and the futility of fixed definitions. An unfixed and changing work in progress itself, this piece has been presented in various forms at the Fondation Cartier Nomadic Nights Series in Paris, San Francisco's Other Minds Brink Series, and the POV Animation Festival in Oakland, California.
